RentalWorks Plus
I want to write and share my adventure with RentalWorks Plus in the Dallas area. This company is located in The Colony, TX outside of Dallas.
Our family lost our way of life to Hurricane Katrina. Rather than stay and subject the children to the chaos to insue, we decided it would be best to move. We fixed the house quickly, sold it, and moved to Dallas.
We weren't familiar with the area, and I had no job, so we just kind of chose a community that looked nice, and found there was a house for rent by RentalWorks Plus, owned by Pat Arrendondo.
We called her, and we agreed on rental terms.
Months later, I was able to find a job, and we began our search for a home we could own. We consulted with Pat, and my wife and I agreed that since she was the only person we really knew, that we should use her as our real estate agent. We bought a home in June of 2006. Pat made a healthy commission of $5,000+ on the sale of this home.
Over the next month, my wife got very ill. My insurance had not kicked in yet at work, and we were in a bit of a financial bind.
Even though we were not in the rental house anymore, we still intended on paying the rent until a new lessor could be found.
Rent is always due on the 1st. Due to my wife being sick, I had been running around like crazy working, taking care of the kids, etc. Rent is considered late on the SIXTH. On the fourth, two days before being considered late, our landlord did not hear from us.
So I was SHOCKED to open my email and read this vile, disgusting email from her. A woman who just weeks ago was made 5,000 dollars richer by us.

It is amazing to find out that your words were left in the
dirty toilet bowls you left behind for me to clean up on Waterbury. How
sad you both are as human beings. Honor and trust are not in your
vocabulary. Your word belongs with the other crap in those bowls. I
am extremely sorry and sad that I had to find out what kind of people you showed
me you where.
All I can say is "Wow". Therefore, all I can say is be warned if you decide to make this childish, unprofessional woman as your landlord.
